Barbara Weir

Barbara was born in Utopia, Northern Territory and was a significant artist in her own right throughout her career. She was an innovative artist and experimented in many different styles around the theme of her mother’s country. Her mother was the late Minnie Motorcar Pwerle, while her father was Irish. In her later years, she was a mentor to many emerging artists and encouraged many aspiring artists to pursue their craft.
