Jimmy Wavehill

 was one of the well-known stockmen to walk off Wavehill Station in protest in 1966, a move that inspired the Aboriginal movement. His art is powerful and vibrant, commanding attention. This work is titled: Frog Dreaming, and indicates a water soak where frogs stay dormant underground until rain comes, then they erupt from the ground in force.
