Ochre on Stringy Bark of three giant Nawaran, Oenpelli Pythons, and Bluetongue lizards. This very old bark does have a paper identifier on the reverse but other than the name, it is difficult to discern much from. I have spent considerable time searching for the artist, but he does not appear in any data base in any community art centre. We might assume the name is for a western audience and not his indigenous name. The Bark may be from the 1960’s, but has Maningrida written on the reverse. Size: Approximately 150 x 60 cm but not square.
