As his eyesight failed in later life, by 1997 Michael Hollow suggested Johnny W shift from the super fine dots to large and bold dots to ensured his Tingari dreaming stories were still being told. He began life working as a laborer and never attended a European school, but still managed to go and meet the queen and be seen as the most influential artist and indigenous leader of his generation.
