Johnny Yungut Tjupurrulaenjoyed using bright colours including the bold orange, red and yellow to create order among the chaos of circular patterns and concentric squares. He would then spend some time with muted soft colours of white, pink, purple or yellow to tone it down and by scratching away at the colours would create the story that was uniquely Johnny Yungut.
